We are RE-Imagining programming to support individuals who are impacted by loneliness and isolationism, including orphans, homeless individuals, widowed individuals, senior living facility residents, and military veterans.

Fast Facts regarding loneliness and isolationism:

  • Can be triggered by losing contact with a loved one (death, divorce, moving to a new place, etc.). This is referred to as reactive loneliness.
  • Persons of color are disproportionately impacted.
    Can lead to poor habits pertaining to mental health and overall wellness.
  • Connected to risk factors for dementia.
  • Older adults are particularly susceptible when facing functional limitations in conjunction with low family support.
  • Connected to risk factors for suppressed immunity.
  • Continues to impact older adult population at a disproportionate rate due to ongoing implications of COVID-19 and the vulnerability of older adults.
