- Military veterans need support when transitioning back to civilian life.
- Children of justice-involved individuals (also known as “hidden victims”) are at increased risk for antisocial behavior, expulsion from school, economic hardship, and criminal activity.
- Students’ Math and Reading scores have been in decline since the pandemic-shortened 2019-2020 academic year (National Assessment of Educational Progress).
- Black men who attend college are 95% less likely to ever be incarcerated.
- 58% of teachers self-reported poor mental health due to stress. That’s a pre-pandemic figure. Teachers are under even more stress currently.
- The COVID-19 pandemic presented concerns for many systems, including monumental increases in homelessness and orphaned children.
